16 century iron armor

Armor of iron from the end of the 16th century, intended for a horseman. Heavy plate armor provided protection against the new, effective fire arms, but its size and weight greatly limited freedom of movement. Once the horseman had been knocked from the saddle he was to a great extent defenceless. new kinds of warfare ment that the large plate armors gradually fell into disuse.
